Description

Working principle of swirling grit chamber

The swirling grit chamber has two kinds of flat bottom round pool and cone bottom round pool. There is a sand storage bucket in the center of the bottom of the pool. There is a sand removing machine in the pool. The sand removing machine is composed of a driving device, a mixer, a sand suction system, etc., and the subsequent sand. The water separator is equipped with a complete set of sand removal treatment equipment. After the sand-containing wastewater passes through the flat and straight inlet channel, the influent turbulence is minimized. The end of the inlet channel is a slope that can produce the Coanda effect. The sand settled in the channel enters the grit chamber along the slope, and a spoiler (only installed in the small pool) is arranged at the water inlet, so that the water flowing out of the plate is folded down to the bottom plate of the pointed area. The axial flow mixer brings the water flow to the center of the pool and then upwards, thereby forming a swirling water flow. The heavier sand falls into the sand collecting area at an annular opening near the center of the pool, and the sand entering the sand bucket can be used. The sand is sucked or the pump is discharged, and the lighter organic matter separates the organic matter from the sand due to the shearing action of the mixer on the water, and finally leads to the drain channel along with the axial flow body.​​​​​​

The working principle of the axial flow mixer

The rotation of the axial flow mixer helps to guide the sand before entering the sand storage bucket and multiple times to clean the sand particles, and the rotating blades can improve the water flow state. The front edge of the mixer blade is made into a large and round shape (the diameter of the mixer can be designed according to the size of the pool) to prevent the entanglement of the water floc and the fibrous material.

The treatment water volume is 4000-27000m3/d. The structure of the equipment is generally steel, and the treatment capacity is 45000m3/d, which is generally a concrete structure.
Equipment with a handling capacity exceeding 200,000 m3/d is designed separately as needed.
Equipment between the two sizes can be ordered from similar models or designed separately.
When ordering, it must be marked with a clock or a sedimentation tank. The sand is pumped with sand pump or air lift, and whether the bridge is provided.
